Dr Robin C. Wilson was born in Peoria, Illinois. She moved to Peru, South America when she was three years old. Dr Robin lived thirteen years in a small mining town called Toquepala, near Tacna in the Peruvian Andes at 12,000 feet with her family. She eventually moved back to the United States and the Peoria area to become an intensive care nurse. She graduated from Bradley University in 1975 with her BSN.
After six years in nursing, she decided to return to professional school to become and Optometrist, graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry, Chicago, Illinois in 1985.
Meeting her husband, Dr James P. Wilson in Chicago, the Doctors Wilson moved back to the Peoria area and worked in private practice Optometry and Ophthalmology.
Dr Robin is also a member of Illinois VOSH (Volunteering Optometric Services to Humanity) and has been on mission trips to Ecuador South America and Morocco Africa to help restore vision to thousands of the poor.
Dr Robin Wilson's hobbies include international cooking, collecting cookbooks, gardening, canning, bicycling, and shopping.

Dr James P. Wilson has practiced Optometry for the past twenty five years, graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry, Chicago, Illinois in 1984; growing up in the Detroit, Michigan suburbs; attended Oakland University (B.A. "80") in Rochester, Michigan. He met his wife, Dr Robin C. Wilson, in graduate school and moved to the Peoria area in 1986.
In the time since graduation, he has worked mostly in two Ophthalmology practices in the Pekin and Peoria, Illinois area. Wilson Eyecare Center was started in December of 2003. His wife, Dr Robin, was the first to start the practice with Dr James Wilson joining in January of 2008. The Doctors Wilson have two children, Zachery, 23, a Chiropractor graduate student, and Brooke, 20, a sophomore in college, studying to be a Physician's Assistant.
Dr James P. Wilson's hobbies include biking, cooking, motorcycling, photography, gardening, golfing, tennis and hunting.
Wilson Eyecare Center has been in business since December 2003. This is a private professional Optometry practice. Dr. James P. Wilson and Dr. Robin C. Wilson have 50 years of combined experience in the fields of Optometry and Ophthalmology.
The doctors at Wilson Eyecare Center are DPA/TPA/Oral meds certified for the treatment of ocular disease. They have developed many close relationships with ophthalmologists and retinal surgeons in the Peoria, Illinois area and also consult with University of Iowa Hospitals and Corneal Clinics.

The staff at Wilson Eyecare Center has over 78 combined years of experience and are highly trained in many areas of eyecare.
We feel it is very important to have the latest equipment including Fundus photography, Visual Field measurements, corneal topography and corneal thickness measuring.
The office is very open and spacious with a contemporary setting of a tropical Caribbean theme. Parking is plentiful and the office has easy access on and off Pioneer Parkway.
